On the other hand, the Hoka Clifton 9 (2023) is the most popular model in the Hoka collection. So let’s see which one comes out on top! If the Mach 5 surprises runners so much, it is because it combines bounce and comfort, a rare feat for a daily trainer. It’s lighter than the Clifton 9, and the upper offers a more structured foot lockdown.
I’d stick with an 11 for the Mach 4, but could have gone for an 11.5 in the Revel 2. Actually the Rebel 1 and Rebel 2 have very similar sizing for me. For reference I have probably a normal length size 11 foot with a bit wider than average at the toes (but I rarely get wide versions of shoes).
👉HOKA Gaviota 4. The Gaviota 4 is the highest level stability shoe offered by HOKA, right along side that plush cushioning feel from the Bondi! All of that combined does make it their heaviest shoe. The Gaviota is a maximum cushioning running shoe that provides a smooth, cushioned ride with some stability for long distances.

The HOKA ONE ONE Mach 2 is my favorite, and I believe the best, road shoe from HOKA ONE ONE to date. The Mach 2 takes a lot of the best features of the Clifton, Huaka, and Clayton models and combines them together to produce what we see in the latest Mach model. It is a simple, cushioned shoe with a great fit and comfortable ride.
Intro & Weight. The Hoka Mach 4 is, in effect, a Hoka Carbon X without the Carbon plate. The stack height, curvature of the rockers and composition of the midsole is all the same.
